In a year of exceptional debuts in Geneva, perhaps none was more eagerly anticipated than the arrival of the 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari. This de facto successor to the fabled Enzo model melds both classic design cues and a host of advanced technologies into a truly striking ultra car that will be produced in a limited series build of just 499 units.
Ferrari LaFerrari 2014
In presenting the vehicle that had been developed under the code name F150, Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo noted that the final designation was chosen “because it is the maximum expression of what defines our company – excellence.”
Design
2014 LaFerrari is silky and fashionable, precisely what you would imagine by the Italian super car company. Meanwhile the announcement of the Enzo in 2003, Ferrari supporters have expected its precursor. The La Ferrari is the first car in the company’s history to be completely designed in-house, and it paid off.  The LaFerrari puts a latest design twist on the classic model, & the creators paid close care to each detail, a characteristic Ferrari has become known for.
Exterior
front-porte-aperte
LaFerrari’s exterior is designed to be as aerodynamic as possible without losing that classic Ferrari feel. The curves are a bit sharper and the lines are more prominent than previous Ferraris. The body is made of four different types of carbon fiber and uses technology in which the exterior skin of the car actually provides the main structural support, similar to an airplane. Every aspect of the exterior has a new creative spin, though some more subtle than others.
From the side, the attention to detail really starts to become apparent. Extensive wind tunnel studies were performed while designing the LaFerrari to ensure that the body was as aerodynamic as it could possibly be without losing any of that classic Ferrari “feel.”
Interior
Ferrari-LaFerrari interioir
The LaFerrari’s interior follows the flow of rest of car & sports a Formula 1 inspired designed. While the car was designed for performance, the interior design did not smart. The big, four-sided steering wheel & reshaped dash formation work attractively with the complete theme of this car.
